Kukri 17 16 D2 Wood

This is a beautiful custom 17-inch original Bowie knife hand-forged with D2 Steel and made in the U.S.A. The blade is 4 mm thick and oil-quenched for excellent heat treatment.
Forging D2 Steel:
This knife is a stunning piece of art and a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. Its rock-solid construction, with a 4 mm thick blade, results from hours and hours of forging.  The beautiful D2 blade, hand-forged with precision, has been given excellent heat treatment, with a Rockwell hardness of 54 along the edge and 42-45 along the spine. The 4 mm thick blade features fantastic hand grinds on both sides, with the top side left with a false edge.  The overall length of this knife is a whopping 16.50″, and the length of the blade is 12.0″. The superb handle, a work of art in itself, is made of leather wrapped. The knife is further crafted with a hand-casted brass cap guard.
